Whether in royal headdresses, religious ornaments or paintings born of the syncretism that followed the conquest, feather artists have used this material to create objects and works that offer us a new understanding of the New World. Omnipresent in almost all indigenous cultures, from the Great Plains of the United States to Tierra del Fuego, featherwork occupies a prominent place in Native American artistic creations.
